“The Republic of Somaliland has made it clear that it is not only possible to elect a person and a vote, but that the opposition parties can also win as they did in this year’s Legislative Assembly election.”
Comparing the situation in Somalia, Ambassador Pham said that the outgoing President of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, and his ilk in Mogadishu did not want elections to be held.
