Somaliland’s Government has sent a congratulatory message to Djibouti’s president Ismail Omar Guelleh for his fourth term following the Friday’s election victory.

According to the a press release from Somaliland presidential palace which obtained a copy of it by Toosh media, the president of the Republic of Somaliland, Ahmed Silaanyo congratulated his counterpart of Djibouti and his people for the peaceful election in which its results confirmed Mr. Guelleh to lead his nation for his fourth term.
“On behalf Somaliland Republic, Mr president I congratulate you the peaceful election held on Friday 8th march, 2016 in your country. I particularly congratulate you on your victory over the elections. Mr president I am confident that you will continue the visible development you led Djibouti, I believe that the relationship between our two countries will be productive and stronger..” President Silanyo said in Press Release, “Again I am Happily congratulating you the historic victory…Mr. President, I wish you, your government and people of Djibouti to be wealth, peace and development for ever.” The press release added.
Mr. Guelleh who came power in 1999 over election also won the election of his country in 2005 and 2011.
